Let that sink in for a goddamn second.
Trump posted — publicly, on his own platform — that he intends to pardon everyone within 200 feet of the Oval Office.
Not people wrongly convicted. Not people overcharged. Not people who served their time and deserve a second chance.
Everyone. In proximity. To him.
That's Not a Pardon. That's a fucking Shield.
A pardon is supposed to be mercy. It's supposed to be the last safety valve in a system of checks — a correction when justice actually failed someone.
This is something else entirely.
This is a man announcing, out loud, in advance, that the people around him are immune to consequences. That whatever the hell gets done — whatever laws get bent, whatever corners get cut, whatever crimes get committed inside that building — doesn't matter.
Because he'll make it disappear.
That's not governance. That's a fucking protection racket.
Read It for What It Is
When someone tells you they're going to pre-pardon their own orbit, they're not talking about justice. They're not talking about fairness.
They're telling you they already know what's coming.
Think about that. He's not reacting to injustice. He's getting ahead of crimes that haven't happened yet — or that he knows damn well already have.
And he's posting this shit on Truth Social like it's a Tuesday. Like the laws of the country he supposedly leads are just minor inconveniences he gets to route around whenever they apply to people he likes.
The Pardon Power Was Never Built for This Bullshit
The founders gave presidents pardon power — and yeah, they gave themselves too much of a lot of things — but even they assumed the person holding it wouldn't be a shameless opportunist using it to insulate his own court from accountability.
They were wrong. Catastrophically wrong.
And we're watching the result in real time. Every norm. Every check. Every assumption of basic institutional good faith — treated like a goddamn suggestion.
This Is the Rot
This isn't a political disagreement. This isn't policy I happen to oppose.
This is the open, unapologetic destruction of the idea that power has limits. That the people who make the laws have to follow them. That the Oval Office isn't a fucking throne room. That nobody — nobody — gets to declare their inner circle untouchable before the fact.
Except apparently he does.
And the cowards who swore an oath to stop exactly this kind of shit are either cheering in the cheap seats or keeping their mouths shut.
Bottom Line
The man told you exactly what he is.
Not between the lines. Not implied. Out loud. On the internet. Before anything even happened.
If pre-pardoning your entire inner circle doesn't register as the most corrupt thing a sitting president has ever done in public — I genuinely don't know what the fuck you're waiting for.
