The Ceasefire Expires in a Week and Nobody Has a Fucking Plan

One week. That's what's left on the ceasefire clock. April 22. And as of right now, there is no agreement, no framework, no next round of talks, and not a single person in charge who seems to have any goddamn idea what happens when that clock hits zero.

The Islamabad talks collapsed. Vance flew over there, took Kushner and Witkoff with him, sat through twenty hours of negotiations, and came home with nothing. Not a framework. Not a partial deal. Fucking nothing. Iran wouldn't budge on enrichment. The US wouldn't budge on sanctions. And instead of going back to the table, Trump announced a naval blockade. During the ceasefire. Because apparently that makes sense to someone.

You Can't Blockade a Country During a Ceasefire, You Dumb Shit

I need someone to explain to me how you blockade the Strait of Hormuz — the most strategically critical waterway on the planet — and still call it a ceasefire. Because those two things are fundamentally incompatible, and everyone goddamn knows it.

A blockade is an act of war. It has been an act of war since the concept of international law existed. You don't get to do that and then act surprised when the other side says you broke the deal. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard already warned that "no port in the Gulf will be safe" if their shipping is interfered with. The IDF raised its alert level to full combat readiness. Pakistan is scrambling to set up another round of talks before the whole thing falls apart. And Trump? He's on Truth Social posting like everything's fine. Because of course he is. This asshole could start World War III and still find time to brag about his poll numbers.

Both Sides Are Shitting on This Thing

Let's be honest: neither side has honored the ceasefire in good faith. Iran didn't reopen the Strait like they agreed to. Israel continued operations in Lebanon. The US sent warships into the Strait for "mine clearing operations" that look a hell of a lot like a military provocation. And Iran launched drones at Bahrain.

This isn't a ceasefire. It's a fucking countdown with a nicer name.

What Happens on April 22?

That's the question nobody in Washington seems interested in answering. If the ceasefire expires without a deal, we're back to active hostilities. US forces already in the Strait. Iranian threats escalating daily. Oil prices through the roof. And a president who publicly said "I don't care" when asked about diplomatic talks with Iran.

That's who's driving this. A man who doesn't give a shit if there's a deal or not. A man who threatened to destroy an entire civilization on social media. A man whose idea of negotiation is sending his son-in-law and then starting a blockade when it doesn't work. Real stable genius stuff.

Bottom Line

April 22 is seven days away. The talks failed. The blockade started. Both sides are violating the ceasefire. And the only plan anyone seems to have is hoping the other side blinks first.

Hope is not a strategy. It's what you do when you've run out of ideas and you're too chickenshit to admit it. And the people who are going to pay for this — in blood, in gas prices, in global instability — are not the ones making the decisions.

They never fucking are.
